BRL HVAC Modernization Project Update 10/16/23
On 10/19/23 the exhaust fans to the BRL will be shut down from approximately 6 am to 6 pm for installation of a new exhaust duct plenum. During this 12-hour period there will be no building exhaust, which means the building will be under positive pressure, animal room odors will be more prevalent in both the animal rooms and the hallways and temperatures in the animal rooms may rise into our upper acceptable range. During this 12-hour period no active research should be conducted in rooms 119, 121, and 125. The BRL staff will be closely monitoring building conditions during the exhaust fan shutdown.
