Electronic Protocol Submission System and Animal Ordering
Introduction
Dear UIC Investigators,
This is a reminder that the electronic protocol submission system is going live July 29th. Please see OACIB’s website for more details: https://research.uic.edu/compliance/animal-care-use-acc/
As we transition to this new protocol system, the protocol numbering format will change as outlined below:
- Existing protocols will add 20 as a pre-fix to the current number and the dash will be removed. Example: 26-123 will become 2026123.
- New protocol submissions will be given a designation of IPROTO followed by the year and a number. Example: IPROTO202600000123.
- When placing an animal order after July 29th, the new protocol format must be used.
